At Love Yoga, we understand that we will not be able to reach our entire community if we wait for them to come into our studio. There are many barriers that stop people who are underrepresented and underserved within wellness spaces. Because of this, we strive for a significant amount of our work to take place outside of the studio.
Let us know if one of the Yoga Programs below would be a good fit for your organization!
Mindful Moments is a yoga program for school settings meant to replace punitive programs such as detention, silent lunch, missed recess, etc. This yoga program allows students an opportunity to reflect on the situation and learn tools to take back into the education setting. The purpose of these tools are to increase emotional regulation and encourage impulse control.
Release & Relax is a class series aimed to provide teachers and other school personnel with the mental and emotional benefits of yoga and meditation. This population deserves to have space to release the stress from their demanding and important jobs.
Stretch to Strengthen is our yoga class series for academic athletic teams in the local middle and high schools, meant to increase power and endurance, improve proprioception, prevent injury, enhance recovery, and increase focus.
Embodied Empowerment is a workshop series for teen parents, designed to foster increased self-awareness and actualization through the practice of yoga. This program has both a family component as well as a parent-specific component.
Chair Yoga This practice is designed to modify certain asanas (poses) by being seated in a chair. This type of class is beneficial for people who have a hard time standing for long periods of time, a lack of mobility, or a difficult time transitioning from standing to seated asanas. Even with sitting in a chair, there are a wide range of twists, backbends, hip stretches, and forward bends that can be done in a chair yoga sequence.
