Continuing Education Courses for Yoga Teachers


​​Tuning With(Y)in Yoga Training This virtual 10 hour training in yin yoga is for both yoga teachers and others interested in deepening their yin yoga practice. This is the training you need to cultivate the missing part of your practice! A slow, meditative asana practice that focuses on actively stretching connective tissues to strengthen and lengthen them. Come learn the essential elements of practicing and teaching the contemplative practice of yin yoga in this three part training. 
Part 1: History & Theory + Embodied Experience 
Part 2: Anatomy & Physiology + Asana Exploration + Embodied Experience 
Part 3: Benefits + Teaching Methodology + Embodied Experience

Course Objectives

Participants will gain an understanding of Yin Yoga's history and understand the complementary relationship of the practice to other forms of yoga.

Participants will learn the theory of Yin Yoga including the underlying tenants and the practicing principles.

Participants will learn how the Theory of Exercise aids in understanding what is safe and appropriate in a Yin Yoga practice as well as fascia physiology and how Yin Yoga affects this tissue.

Participants will gain clarity on how to safely practice and teach the essential Yin Yoga poses and their variations, operating from the foundations of the five archetypes of Yin Yoga.

Participants will learn about how a Yin Yoga practice produces physical, energetic, mind and heart benefits.

Back to Basics Hands-on Adjustments Workshop Refresh your knowledge, get more practice, and further build your confidence in providing physical assists in this workshop! We will review the principles of assists and work through adjusting 20 beginner’s vinyasa yoga postures. You will be guided through a flow session to warm up your body each day and then practice adjustments in small groups, get live feedback from your classmates and one-on-one feedback from E-RYT 200, Kate Shin.
This workshop is for current yoga teachers with a 200-HR Yoga Teacher Training Certification. Upon registration, send a copy of your 200-HR Yoga Teacher Training Certification and proof of insurance to KateShin@YogabyKateShin.com. After completing this course, you will receive a certificate that states you have completed 4 Contact Hours that meets Yoga Alliance standards for Continuing Education.

Advanced Hands-on Adjustments Workshop 
You will take an advanced flow class and then learn how to assist several advanced yoga postures! Upon registration, email Kate with 3-5 advanced postures that you would like to learn the assist for. Kate will then compile the requested postures and sequence the advanced class to make sure that you are strong, open and warm enough to practice the assists in small groups.
