The LYS Perinatal Annex is a donation-based, trauma-sensitive section of the studio dedicated to offering a variety of perinatal specific yoga classes for all, while embodying our core values of love, respect, inclusiveness and diversity.

FRIDAYBreath & Body I with Kayla will include a series of Breathing Techniques from the GYROKINESIS® Technique alongside Mindful Movement, Yogic Poses/Postures, and other modalities such as the use of mudras, and Thai Chi to help bring calm and resolve during pregnancy to the spirit, mind, and body. This is an end-of-the-week cool-down where participants will be guided to find the balance between intention/focus and ease/freedom. Bring items as you would to a traditional yoga class as well as a journal and writing tool. 

Perinatal Annex

SUNDAY | Breath + Body II with Kayla is an energizing class to help prepare participants for a new week. Yogis will integrate breath techniques with a guided flow of asanas that are stabilizing, supportive, active, and empowering, both spiritually and mentally to rest. From the physical aspect the Yogi will strengthen the perineal muscles and pelvic floor through Hatha and Kenetic influenced yoga postures movements should promote sound and deep sleep. 

​​​Love Yoga Studio's Perinatal Annex is trauma-sensitive, meaning that A Tribe Called Love's Perinatal Yoga Teachers hold space in a way that consistently and intentionally integrates trauma-informed knowledge and approaches into teaching methodology. Love Yoga Studio's Perinatal Annex is donation-based, with donations ranging from $1-$20 per person, per class. This allows the Perinatal Annex to be accessible despite financial resources.
