200 Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings











Our foundational yoga teacher training programs ask each trainee to consider the Seat of the Teacher from a social justice perspective as well as offers tools to teach yoga in a trauma-sensitive manner.
Our teacher training curriculum follows the new Competencies-Based Model from Yoga Alliance. This curriculum includes thirteen competences; asana, pranayama & subtle body, meditation, anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, history, philosophy, ethics, teaching methodology, professional development, practicum, and electives.
We teach alignment-based asanas and highlight the importance of the breath.
Free monthly 1:1 coaching is available for all trainees in good standing.
There are 4 start dates each year to allow for more accessibility.

Train at your pace and select either the 9 month or 12 month program.
Months of the Program: 12 months (4 sessions…each session is 3 months long, running 12 weeks consecutively) Winter: December-February…Spring: March-May…Summer: June-August…Fall: September-November
Format of the Training: Hybrid (virtual and in-studio)
Structure of the Training: Requirements must be completed in a certain sequence.
Session 1 - Welcome & History, Personal Practice, Book Club
Session 2 - Two Yoga Immersion Courses, Asana Clinic
Session 3 - Anatomy & Physiology Course, Teaching Methodology, Elective Modules
Session 4 - Professional Development, Ethics, Practicum
Personal practice hours are done in studio classes (either in-person or virtually. The welcome and history session is virtual, the first week of the program. Book Club is virtual, 1 hour per week during the session and is usually on the weekend or evening. See the yoga immersion page for specific scheduling. Asana Clinic is a 3 hour weekly class that can either be in-person or virtual depending on the session. Anatomy & Physiology is a virtual 2 hour weekly class. Teaching methodology is a 2 hour in-person weekly class. Each elective is 2 hours. Electives are broken into two weekend modules with 5 electives in a module. Day 1 typically has 3 electives and Day 2 typically has 2 electives. Professional development is a virtual one-time 3 hour class. Ethics is a virtual one-time 2 hour class. Practicum includes 10 hours of practice teaching, in-studio.
Typical Schedule:
Session 1 - 1 virtual two hour meeting, 1-2 yoga classes per week and weekly 1 hour Book Club meetings
Session 2 - meeting in-studio and virtually 3x/week for 2-3 hours
Session 3 - meeting in-studio 1x week, meeting virtually 1x week and two 10 hours training weekends
Session 4 - 2 virtual 2-3 hour meetings and weekly practice teaching

IMPORTANT NOTES:
Required books are not included in the tuition cost.
We offer multiple payment plans.
Teacher training students are required to practice at Love Yoga Studio at least once/week.
The graduation retreat is not mandatory, as there is an additional cost to attend. Graduating YTT students attend retreats as retreat co-facilitators. You can view the retreat page to learn more about the retreat facilitator cost and process.
Transportation, excursion expenses, etc. are the responsibility of each student.
