Embodying Legacy Through Movement
A Donation-Based Community Yoga Series - February 2026
Why Participate?
What is Embodying Legacy Through Movement?
Embodying Legacy Through Movement is a month-long, donation-based yoga and movement series offered throughout February in recognition of Black History Month. The program uses embodied practices—yoga, meditation, rhythmic movement, journaling, and rest—to honor Black cultural history while supporting mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
Classes will be held both at Love Yoga Studio and at trusted community partner locations to expand access, reduce barriers to participation, and bring healing practices directly into community spaces.
This project positions movement as both cultural expression and community care, creating inclusive wellness opportunities rooted in history, creativity, and collective healing.
Be Part of the Solution & Participate
Black communities continue to face disproportionate barriers to wellness, including limited access to culturally affirming mental health and movement-based care. Traditional wellness spaces often feel inaccessible due to cost, cultural disconnect, or lack of representation.
At the same time, many Black community members carry intergenerational stress and trauma that impacts nervous system health, emotional regulation, and overall well-being.
