Perinatal Annex

Love Yoga Studio's Perinatal Annex is trauma-sensitive, meaning that A Tribe Called Love's Perinatal Yoga Teachers hold space in a way that consistently and intentionally integrates trauma-informed knowledge and approaches into teaching methodology.

The LYS Perinatal Annex is a trauma-sensitive section of the studio dedicated to offering a variety of perinatal specific yoga classes for all, while embodying our core values of love, respect, inclusiveness and diversity.

CLASSES CURRENTLY OFFERED

 

Journeying to Conception

2nd FRIDAY of the month: 6:45pm

This class is a combination of yoga, breath work, meditation and journaling for persons who are on the road to conception.

This class is open to all persons involved with the conception process.

Prenatal Yoga

THURSDAYS: 6:45pm

Prenatal Yoga is a gentle yoga class for expecting moms in all 3 trimesters. In this class, we will focus on centering the mind and relaxing the body in numerous ways. With a focus on breath control, this one-hour flow will take you through safe stretches and poses that will help your everyday movements as your body grows throughout the next few months.

Yoga Breathing for Labor

VIRTUAL

MONDAYS: 7:00pm

Practicing yogic breathing during your pregnancy can help you access deep breaths during labor. When used during a contraction, endorphins (the body's own natural pain reliever) are released and can assist your laboring experience. This class begins with a 5 minute affirmations centering in child’s pose, followed by a 15 min flow to get your heart rate up. Next, practice 20 minutes of guided breathing, followed by a 15 minute prenatal guided meditation. End this mindful hour by turning inward during savasana.

Open to students in all three trimesters.

Postnatal Yoga

VIRTUAL

WEDNESDAYS: 10:30am

Postnatal Yoga focuses on recovery and stress reduction. This class emphasizes building strength at your pace in a warm and supportive environment. Students use their body weight and yoga props to build long lean muscles, in addition to stretching to increase flexibility and practicing breathe work to expand lung capacity. This class is an active vinyasa flow with strength and power building elements sprinkled throughout.
Students attending should be 7 weeks to 2 years postpartum.

Postnatal Yoga for Me & Baby

WEDNESDAYS: 10:30am

SUNDAYS: 10:15am

This parent/child class is a beautiful combination of postnatal, infant and family yoga for 7 weeks after delivery of your new bundle of light and love until they become a mover. Both parents and infant are fully welcome in this class.

Students attending should be at least 7 weeks postpartum

Yoga for Supporting Infertility

4th FRIDAY of the month: 6:45pm

This class is a combination of yoga, breath work, meditation and journaling for persons who have not conceived after one year of consistent attempts.

This class is open to everyone involved with the conception process.

Yoga for Supporting Early Pregnancy Loss

2nd FRIDAY of the month: 8:00pm

This class is a blend of yoga, breath work, meditation and journaling for persons who have experienced a pregnancy loss prior to 27 weeks.

This class is open to both parents as well as any other person impacted by the loss of life.

Yoga for Supporting Stillbirth

4th FRIDAY of the month: 8:00pm

This class is a blend of yoga, breath work, meditation and journaling for persons who have experienced a pregnancy loss post 28 weeks.

This class is open to both parents as well as any other person impacted by the loss of life.
